In the past I’ve done my Tuesday Toots with the Mommy Community over at Wife and Mom of 3 but I believe I’m going to start doing them here now. I’ve recently started this blog as a “transformation” of sorts. I am hoping to make my 30s much happier, healthier, and obviously sexier. Throwing out the frumpy tired mom look and making changes in my lifestyle. Currently I add in yoga at least 5 of the 7 days, started doing daily pushups and crunches, and do some resistant band training while watching tv. My body’s toning up and getting noticeable to others but of course the scale isn’t quite budging like I’d like it to. So we’re now changing our eating habits with the help of new cookbooks, a pediatric nutritionist, and some new healthy twitter friends.
Went shopping over the weekend to buy our weekly groceries so we could eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner in or at least in a bag. Last night I made a healthier non-greasy veggie piled pizza on home made crust (made a chicken pizza to please the spouse who was afraid of turning into a bunny). The family even said they preferred mine to getting “take out” pizza. I’m thinking about making some pizza dough ahead of time to freeze for quick pizza dinners. Today I made some peanut butter & oatmeal cookies earlier today which passed the taste test (I don’t think anyone realized I didn’t use white sugar…lol). I still need to slice apples to make apple chips for snacks as well but I just might save that one for tomorrow.
Anyways, I hope my old and new friends stick around and maybe even become an RSS or E-mail subscriber as I plan to post more posts relating to fitness, health & body, healthy recipes, and personal updates here. There are also a couple guest speakers lined up for “Transforming Me” so please if anything, come back soon!
