
As the saying goes “A family that exercises together stays healthy together”. One does not need to have an exclusive gym membership to have a place to work out when we can easily exercise from home or in our own backyards. There are many ways we can work in family exercise into our daily schedule to burn off excess calories while having fun together as a family.
Here is a list of activities which you can do together with your family:

Do a sport that is suitable for all ages.
Swimming, biking, brisk walking soccer, football, running and rollerblading are sports which you can do as a family. They are an excellent source of fun and physical exercise which both the young and old can enjoy. -
Get everyone to chip in to do the household chores.
With everyone helping out doing the dishes, vacuuming the floor, washing the clothes, dusting, and tidying rooms it will reduce the time taken to complete all the household chores. It will also help develop a sense of family togetherness as both parents and kids work together to complete a task. If you have young kids or toddlers you can also engage them in helping to bring clothes from the laundry room to their own bedrooms and placing their cutlery into the sink after dinner. It will give them a great sense of achievement and at the same time free yourself up to complete other household chores or give you plain free time. To make cleaning fun and more heart pumping, crank up the stereo to dance and sing along as everyone cleans house.

Playing outdoor games.
Enjoy yourself by playing Frisbee, soccer, football, catch, Hopscotch, obstacle courses or other games. These kinds of games can be great fun for the whole family.
By exercising together we reduce the chance of getting sick often and boost our body’s immunity. It is also a good way for a family to bond and build up strong relationships with each other.
