Boy has this week and weekend flown by! And yet there is still so much I need to do before the day is over! Thanksgiving day we went over to the in-laws for linner (lunch/dinner) where the kids played with all of their cousins and the adults young and old sat around the table to talk about health issues, mid-life crisis changes (separations, tattoos, etc). Here and there we all went out to play with the animals on the farm (horses, goats, chickens, and cows). Even the adults jumped on a horse to be led around (it was rather funny seeing an adult led around by a child)! Once evening fell, my father in law hitched his trailer filled with hay to the tractor and took all the kids on a hay ride (darn camera took TERRIBLE pics in the dark even with the flash). Afterwards, I had to change kids clothes (boy did they stink like animals!) and rush my family off the farm to stop by my parents to say hello on Thanksgiving day before heading home ourselves.
Friday I FINALLY cooked our home Thanksgiving meal that DH insisted I make the morning before Thanksgiving (remember the post “I Survived“?!).I have no clue what we did yesterday as I must have been comatose from all that food the two days…LOL
Today, I’ve been lazy (still in my PJs) and doing EVERYTHING ELSE but complete my Sociology assignments and quiz that must be completed before midnight tonight AND organize/clean my home to prepare for when DH pulls down the Christmas decorations from the attic early this evening after he’s done with a job (yeah…he’s been picking up electrical side work and not surprisingly making more in 1-2 days time alone than when he worked for his employee in a week!). BUT I DID revamp my blog here and give it a more festive look…doesn’t that count for something???
