Cheap Cookie Cutters – Review & Recipe

Cookies

Tis the season for holiday cut out cookies! Not the season you’d like to bake some shaped cookies? No problem! Cheap Cookie Cutters has a large variety of cookie cutters for your special  occasion. And if you can’t find what you’re looking for, they’re more than happy to help you make the perfect custom cookie cutter. Most of their cookie cutters are made of tin, some are aluminum, and some (very few) are made of plastic.

MY THOUGHTS…Cheap Cookie Cutters sent me the Christmas Cookie Cutter set for review which included a candy cane, snow flake, angel, and Christmas tree. They were made of a light weight aluminum I think and priced at $11.99 as a set. I liked the size of the cutters but I wish these had a handle on them to make lifting the cutter out of the dough easier. Another thing I noticed was that after the first wash in the dishwasher the cutters appeared to already begin to rust in the seam spots and edges. I’ll be honest, I’m not sure if I’ll use these again since they’ve already begun rusting. However, this does not necessarily deter me from their other cutters. Perhaps I’ll try out one of their plastic ones for a non-Christmas occasion. I did also see that they had a Scooby Doo cutter that I might like to use for Little One’s 4th birthday next March.

MY OVERALL RATING…Thumbs down on this set for rust factor

Thanks for the recipe. My Nanny (grandmother) use to make sugar cookies when I was a young child. She would always give us kids a small ball of dough, which we played with , with dirty hands no doubt, until the dough was dirty, Never deterred us from the scrumptous cookies. Anyway, these tin and aluminum cutters bring back that memory so vividly for me. So I will be checking this out no doubt.
