My 8 year old son has decided that he is now too big for super hero clothes and blankets so I thought I would make him a “big boy” blanket in his favorite shade of blue and dark gray. He’s not big into the fringe look so here’s a basic reversible fleece blanket that will keep him warm and happy while he watches a movie or plays games.
You’ll need…
- Sewing Machine
- Fleece Fabric
- Complimenting Fabric
- Thread to Match Fabric
- Scissors
How to make a BASIC reversible fleece blanket…
- Sew the fabric pieces together with the wrong sides facing in towards each other leaving an opening no bigger than your hand.
- Put your hand through the opening you left and pull the fabric right side out.
- Fold in the fabric opening to match up with the other edges and hand stitch or sew a straight line to close it up.
- Voila! Your BASIC reversible fleece blanket is all done!
Some Tips…
- If you have extra fabric left over, make a rectangular strap to go all around the rolled up blanket using a button to close the ends together.
