5 Things To Do To Re-Energize During Your Busy Work Day

PhotobucketIf you’re like me, by the time 1:30pm rolls around after lunch I’m focus challenged. I sit at my desk most days all day long unless I have a face to face meeting. With 3.5 more hours to go I can’t allow that to happen since I promised myself when going back to work that 5pm is the end of the work day.

If only you could wear those glasses that have open and alert eyes painted on when the energy is feeling low! One friend suggested back bends (see image) but who’s honestly going to do those in open view of your office peeps? I can just imagine that scene! LOL

So what are things one can do to get past those moments of fog?

1) Get up out of your chair and walk around the office a bit. Perhaps one take the stairs for a round or instead of emailing or interoffice mailing to someone within the office, go visit them.

2) Keep peppermint candies handy or even sniff/dab peppermint oil on a tissue or cloth to wake up your senses.

3) Go to the bathroom and do a quick “jump up/down” or waist bends when nobody’s around. At least here the whole office isn’t staring at you.

4) Do some neck & shoulder rolls.

5) Stretch your arms up and out in front of you while seated to stretch your back and shoulders.
