OUR THOUGHTS…FUN search/find and puzzle game with a murder scene as the theme by G5 Entertainment. Your job in the game is to help the two investigators, work with forensics, question suspects with the detectives on the case, and find clues in multiple scenes.

Fairly easy to pick up and start playing as well as navigate through with ease. Pinch the screen on the device and enlarge the area to find things. The images were of pretty good quality and the whole family (5years and up) enjoyed playing it. If the portion where the characters speak had been more animated, that would have been more of a plus but still, it was worth the download.

We got the i-Pod version to play but you can also get it on your Droid phone, the i-Pad, the i-Phone, and even your home computer (BigFish sells it as well). It would likely be more enjoyable on a bigger screen like a computer or tablet versus a small phone screen.

Buying Les Mess will motivate your child to get organized and clutter free! When you play “Les Mess” you’ll have less mess in your home.

Les Mess is an organizing card game for children and parents. You shuffle the deck of cards, pick one, and do what it says on the card in the amount of time allowed and get a present. Play this once a week or every day!

OUR THOUGHTS…We were on the search for something to motivate the kids to help us out around the house. For both hubby and I, we’re often tired by the end of a long work day and the last thing we REALLY want to spend doing in the last hours of the day is CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. And who wants to spend a weekend of time off cleaning? We needed something for the kids. They love making messes but they hate cleaning up. So search the internet we did and we came across the Les Mess card game.

The kids (4, 9, & 11) – YES! I kept pulling cards that tell me I don’t have to do anything or my parents have to clean for me! Still when I had to do a chore, it was fun trying to beat the clock.

Today your mother and/or father have to clean your room!

The parents (mom & dad) – I thought this was meant for THEM to clean and organize? They keep pulling “freebie” cards! BUT…done 1-2 days during the week INSTEAD of everyday can be a good compliment with the regular chore list. They pick a card BEFORE working on the regular chores that day to determine if they’ll have an extra “fun chore” to do OR a day of no chores. We also thought some of the tasks weren’t things we’d likely have them do. For example, for someone who has OCD, the thought of letting the kids re-organize the media collection can cause some serious anxiety attacks so we’d take that one out and replace it with another “out of the ordinary” task like “re-organize clothes” in 30 minutes.

Go through the other rooms in your house, picking up your toys, and putting them away. – 60 minutes

For the price of $14.95, would I buy this myself? Honestly, no. It’s a bit on the pricey side. The concept was great, but the thought of spending over $5 for a card deck is not so great.

WHERE TO BUY…From www.lesmess.com for $14.95.

I received this product in exchange for a review.

Inner Quest is a Relaxing Puzzle Game which bets hard on the Smoothest User Experience. With no complicated controls nor any special skill requirement, the game guarantees fun at all ages.

The game developers proudly state: “With Inner Quest you will find yourself immersed in an amazing journey that will help you decrease the wear and tear on your mind from the challenges and hassles of daily life by evoking the same emotions that you have while traveling on a sunny day, going on a picnic with the people you love, or while looking at the stars on a warm night”.

Featuring a hundred levels, arcade and relaxed modes, artistic level design and upbeat music, the Pure-Game-Play game invites the player to be delighted by a colorful audio visual experience.

OUR THOUGHTS…Inner Quest is very similar with the game Bejewled. No time limits which means time to enjoy flipping icons to match up and “burst”. Easy game for all ages and one that will seem to force you from thinking about anything outside the game. A bit on the “cartoonish” side and the music can be cheesy if not somewhat annoying but overall the game was still fun. Would I play it again? Absolutely! Even if I have to turn the music down. For $5.95, Inner Quest is still a game I’d buy for the computer.

HOW MUCH & WHERE TO BUY…You buy Inner Quest from South Winds Games for 5.95.

Love & Death: Bitten, an innovative new game featuring the epic romance between a curious young woman named Victoria and a handsome vampire named Damon. As part of the new Curl Up with A Good Game™ collection, Love & Death: Bitten is just one of the many titles that delivers the escapism of a great read through interactive game play, empowering players to explore worlds of thrilling mystery, dark suspense and steamy romance.

Love & Death: Bitten is a romance driven, hidden object adventure game, in which players play as Victoria by day and Damon by night, solving unique puzzles, collecting and combining hidden items and unlocking secret passages. The story begins with a chance meeting where Victoria finds herself falling for Damon’s charms while Damon is intrigued by Victoria’s fiery disposition. Just as they are growing closer, the evil vampire queen, who cursed Damon to live eternally as a slave, returns, forcing Victoria and Damon to realize they must help each other overcome their dire circumstances. Will Damon and Victoria’s story end in love….or death?

HOW MUCH & WHERE TO BUY…Love & Death: Bitten can be purchased for 6.99 from the Big Fish Games site (http://bigfishgames.com).

MY THOUGHTS…Easy download without disks or complicated install to your PC. It’s been awhile since I found a fun PC game that had me glued for several hours at a time. The first night I started playing this game I played for 4 hours non-stop and had to force myself to quit! If you enjoy solving puzzles you’ll enjoy this game. I enjoy picture find games too which you’ll do a lot of here as well. Some puzzles and find easier than others and then the ones that are a bit challenging will have you glued until you get it solved. The game kind of reminded me of a comic book but voices. It was a fun game but I must admit I was a bit disappointed in the ending. Like a book I wanted the story to continue.

OVERALL THOUGHT…Thumbs Up! If I had to purchase this game, I don’t think $6.99 is a bad deal to play this puzzle game.

Intuitive Innovations brings you an app for the i-phone/i-touch that teaches your child the names of the objects from the world around them. You can find out more information about Tot Explorer here: http://intuitiveinnovationssoftware.com/totexplorer.html.

OUR THOUGHTS…Little One who just recently turned 4 loved this game and I was excited to see her entertained and able to do it on her own after the initial show. The game speaks in a child’s voice asking your child where something is on the screen. Once they point and touch the correct item, words of positive feedback is given in excitement making your own child excited. A recommendation I do have for the game developers is to have the pages with the images to find constantly change to make it different each time she plays. I did find that she zoomed fairly quickly through the game so perhaps it’s geared more for those 2 & 3; however, I was still happy to see her entertained. There is a lite free version of the game I haven’t checked out yet but I would have to say the $.99 paid version of the game isn’t one I’d have paid for.

OUR OVERALL RATING…Little One gives it a thumbs up! I say I’m happy it kept her entertained but wouldn’t purchase if it was my dollar.

HOW MUCH & WHERE TO BUY…$.99 from iTunes

OUR THOUGHTS…Great graphics for the i-phone or i-touch with this game. Vivid scenes with realistic battle sounds. Peanut enjoyed playing this “shooting”game of arrows and battlefields. Easy game to understand and play even for the 4 year old. While I found myself getting a bit bored after a couple of levels, Peanut wanted to keep playing. Price wise, I thought at $2.99 this touch arrow game was a bit too high for me. Wasn’t challenging enough If you’re into medieval shooter games, this might be a fun one for you or someone else to play.

OUR OVERALL RATING…Peanut gives it a thumbs up. I say “eh”…

HOW MUCH & WHERE TO BUY…$2.99 from iTunes

Huge gemstones were sheltered from the sunshine for eons of time waiting for explorers brave enough to unearth them. You, as an intrepid treasure hunter, will need all your ingenuity to pass the traps and dangers of the underground and collect the treasure in more than 100 levels.

Crystal Cave Lost Treasures is a spin-off of Crystal Cave designed for casual players. The game is available for iPhone and iPod touch.

OUR THOUGHTS…Addicting little game for sure. Caves with puzzles to the lost treasure that my older 2 kids and I played and played and played to outsmart each other and see who could get through a level the fastest. Figure out the appropriate way to move an object (block, rock, etc.) so you can get to the crystal and take it for your stash. Blocked yourself to where you can’t do anything? Restart the level! And restart the level again until you get it right so you can go to the next level! We enjoyed this puzzle game.

OUR OVERALL RATING…Entertaining game!
